It started with my son, Arthur. When he was six, I was trying to help him build confidence while learning to write. I bought one of those growth-mindset journals, thinking it would help — but it quickly felt generic. So I started creating something myself.
Most personalised books swap in a name. This is different. Every story is written from scratch for each child — shaped around who they are, what they’re learning, and what they’re becoming. It’s not a template. It’s something created for them.
Little Big Minds is designed for families who want to give something meaningful — especially grandparents. There’s something special about passing down values, stories, and encouragement in a way that lasts. This is a way to do that in a form children actually engage with.
It helps children feel seen, capable, and empowered. They begin to imagine themselves as the hero of their own story — not perfect, but growing, trying, learning. That shift, especially at a young age, is incredibly powerful.
Hearing your name in a story is different. When a child hears themselves described as brave, resilient, and capable, it lands in a deeper way. That’s why every story includes a custom audio experience.
Most gifts for children are temporary. That’s not a bad thing. But some gifts should do more. This is both a story that helps them grow now, and something they can look back on later — a record of who they were becoming.
I created Little Big Minds for my son Arthur.
I’m a team of one, with a very important co-creator. Arthur helps shape ideas, test new topics, and gives honest feedback every step of the way.
Behind the scenes, I work with a small group of writers, illustrators, and narrators who give each story its voice.
Little Big Minds is based in Westchester, New York.
The most rewarding part has been seeing families return, continuing the journey and building on what came before.
